Mission Statement
At Qualcomm, we're not only committed to being good corporate citizens, but also good neighbors in the communities we call home. We contribute collectively as a corporation, and we participate in ways that touch people's lives on a personal level.

Areas of Focus:
  • Education - Qualcomm is committed to improving science, technology, engineering and math education for students during their primary, secondary, and higher education years, and to expanding educational opportunities for under-represented students.
  • Health - Qualcomm supports initiatives that result in clean, safe, healthy places to live and work. They strive to better the livelihood of undeserved populations by providing basic human needs, with a focus on enhancing the welfare of children.
  • Culture - Through Qualcomm's support of arts education and outreach programs, the company helps young people develop innovative minds, and expands cultural enrichment opportunities to in-need populations.
Exclusions:
  • U.S.- based organizations without Internal Revenue Service 501 (c) (3) status
  • Individuals
  • Sporting events without a charitable beneficiary
  • Sectarian or denominational religious groups
  • Faith-based schools unless the school accepts students from all religious and non-religious backgrounds and the students are not required to adhere to or convert to any religious doctrine.
  • Faith-based organizations unless the programs are broadly promoted and the program's beneficiaries are not encouraged or required to learn about, adhere, or convert to any religious doctrine.
  • Organizations that advocate, support, or practice activities inconsistent with Qualcomm's non-discrimination policies, whether based on race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, mental or physical disability, age, gender, gender identity and/or expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, pregnancy, medical condition, marital status, or other basis protected by law.
  • Primary and secondary schools. Note, these entities may be eligible for employee matching grants as long as they are not deemed ineligible by other exclusions and restrictions.

Qualcomm accepts funding requests year-round and reviews each organizations once per calendar year. The corporate giving committee reviews requests bi-monthly. Organizations may submit a letter or inquiry to Qualcomm once per calendar year. The website has a table that details when requests will be reviewed based on when they are received.

Application Process:
  1. Review the giving areas, funding guidelines, and FAQs to ensure that your program fits the criteria outlined for funding.
  2. Complete the Letter of Inquiry Form. Qualcomm Corporate Giving will respond to you within ten business days.
  3. Qualcomm with email the proposal form if your organizations has been invited to submit a funding request.
  4. If you receive a grant from Qualcomm, you will need to complete and return a tax receipt within 3 months of receiving our donation.
  5. If you receive a grant from Qualcomm in the amount of $10,000 or larger, you will need to complete the Evaluation Form within 12 months of the award date.
